LOUISA MOJELA (B Com) | Group Chief Executive Officer WIPHOLD

Louisa is a founder and Group CEO of WIPHOLD. Louisa has held positions at Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank and Development Bank of Southern Africa (during which time she was seconded to the World Bank in Washington DC), and the Lesotho National Development Corporation. Louisa graduated with Bachelor of Commerce from the National University of Lesotho. She has also completed the Executive Leadership Program at Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2000 Louisa was selected as one of 40 women from different continents and countries for “The Leading Women Entrepreneur of the World”. In 2008, Louisa was recognized as one of South Africa’s most influential women in business and government. In May 2009, Louisa was the winner of the Inaugural African Business Leadership Award in Dakar, Senegal by the African Development Bank (AfDB). In January 2010 Louisa received ’The Builders of the African Economy Award’’ in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Louisa serves on several boards including Distell, Sun International, ABB SA, Sasol Mining and Life Healthcare Group Holding (Pty) Ltd.

GLORIA TOMATOE SEROBE B Com (Unitra) MBA (Rutgers) | Chief Executive Officer Wipcapital

Gloria was born in Guguletu, Cape Town on 20 September 1959. She obtained a B.Com degree from the University of Transkei and holds an MBA degree from Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA. She is a Founding Member and Executive Director of WIPHOLD and Chief Executive Officer of Wipcapital. Her professional experience includes positions at Exxon Corporation in the USA, Munich Reinsurance Company of SA, the Premier Group and Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank. She was also the Executive Director – Finance, Transnet Limited and was a member of the Transnet Board and its major subsidiaries. She serves on several Boards including Old Mutual, Nedbank, Hans Merensky and Sasol Mining, She is the Chairman of the Board of the Independent Ports Regulator and a trustee of the Women Investment Portfolio Holdings Limited Share Trust and the Women Investment Portfolio Holdings Investment Trust. She is an honorary member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa and is a member of the SAICA Advisory Council. Her previous non-executive Directorships include Chairman of the Life Office’s Association (LOA), Chairman of the Metropolitan Group, Export Credit Insurance Corporation, Airports Company South Africa, Express Kenya Limited, M-Cell, MTN, the Financial Markets Advisory Board and the JSE. She was Chairman of the Transnet Second Defined Benefit Fund (Pensioner only Fund) and the Transnet Pension Fund Investment Committee and was also a Trustee of the South African Airways Share Trust, Transnet Retirement Fund (DC Fund) and Transnet Pension Fund (DB Fund). Gloria has won numerous awards including the Business Women Association’s Corporate Business Woman of the Year in 2006

MAKOLE MAPONYA (CA (SA) Higher Dipl. Financial Management Certificate in Theory of Accounting (CTA) B Com) | Portfolio Manager Infrastructural & Development Assets

Makole joined OMIGSA in 2003 as an Equity Research Analyst. Prior to that, she worked at Nations Capital as a Corporate Finance Executive, where she advised government on the privatisation of Rosherville Vehicle Services and Rosherville Properties, both subsidiaries of Eskom Enterprises. Makole also played an advisory role on the privatisation of Aventura Resorts. Makole did her articles at Investec Bank where she specialised in Private Equity. Makole is currently the co-portfolio manager in the Infrastructure and Development Assets team within the Alternative Boutique. She is responsible for analysing and assessing infrastructural investment opportunities for the Old Mutual/Setsing IDEAS Fund, as well as the African Infrastructure Investment Fund (AIIF), a joint initiative between Old Mutual Investment Group (SA) (previously OMAM) and Macquarie Bank. She has been involved in the development of the Hluma initiative (a joint venture between OMLACSA and the DBSA), of which she is the deputy chairperson. Makole also serves on various boards on behalf of the IDEAS Fund and OMLACSA.

TRACY DUNLEY-OWEN B Sc (CS (SA)) | Non-Executive Director WIPHOLD

Tracy is a Non-Executive Director of Women Investment Portfolio Holdings Limited, a Director and Trustee of over fifteen Old Mutual entities and a member elected Trustee on the Old Mutual Staff Retirement Fund. Tracy has been at Old Mutual since 2001 and has held a wide variety of challenging and interesting roles involving originating transactions in OMSFIN, credit analysis, capital management and is currently managing the department responsible for Old Mutual (South Africa)’s external and internal financial reporting. Tracy qualified as a Chartered Accountant specialising in Treasury services at KPMG before moving to Old Mutual. She also holds a CFA and a Masters in Business Science (Finance).

Nontobeko Ndhlazi

NONTOBEKO NDHLAZI (B.Com, Post Grad Dip in Accounting) | Group Chief Financial Officer

Nontobeko joined WIPHOLD on 1 July 2011 as the Group CFO, after previously contracting to the Group for a period of 11 months. Prior to this, she was a Director at Deloitte & Touche in the Special Services Group. She served her articles at Deloitte in their audit division, then moved to the Special Services Group as a manager and was made Director in June 2006. She serves as a non-executive director on the boards of some of WIPHOLD’s investee companies.

DEBRA MARSDEN (BBusSc (Econ)) | Head Of Business Transformation And Public Affairs

Debra was General Manager: Corporate Affairs and Transformation of Old Mutual from 1997 to 2004. Prior to Old Mutual Debra had the following positions: Economic Affairs Director of the Consultative Business Movement, Secretariat Head of the National Economic Forum and Deputy Director of the National Economic Development and Labour Council Nedlac. She designed and implemented Old Mutual’s transformation programme and formed part of the 10-person negotiating team which developed the Financial Sector Charter. Debra joined WIPHOLD in 2005.

JANNIE STOCKENSTRöM (CA(SA), MCom, HDip Tax) | CO-HEAD OF INVESTMENTS

Jannie is a founding member of Wipcapital. Prior to joining Wipcapital he held the position of Director at SCMB in charge of global Structured Finance. Prior to this, he was Assistant General Manager at Standard Bank London, heading up the Standard Bank group’s cross-border structured finance team.

SHAUN ROSENTHAL (CA (SA), CFA) | Head Of Investment Banking

Shaun is a founding member of Wipcapital. Prior to joining Wipcapital he jointly established and headed up Brait Merchant Bank Corporate Finance. Prior to this, he headed up SCMB Classical Corporate Finance. He is a non-executive director of a number of WIPHOLD investee companies

GUGU DINGAAN (CA (SA)) | Investments Executive

Gugu joined WIPHOLD in 2001 after completing her articles with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) Financial Services Banking Audit Group. She has been involved in corporate finance where she’s worked on mergers and acquisitions, transaction structuring and valuations. In her current role at WIPHOLD as an Investment Executive, she is responsible for growing WIPHOLD’s investment portfolio and executing WIPHOLD Africa Growth Strategy.

She is a non-executive board member of Distell Group, SA Corporate Real Estate Fund Managers, ABB SA, Adcorp Holdings, MCG Industries, Landis+Gyr and AWCA.

She is chairs the ABB SA audit committee and is audit committee member of SA Corporate Real Estate Fund Managers, Adcorp Holdings, MCG Industries and Landis+Gyr. She is also the chairman of Khulisani Foundation and Distell Foundation.

She is a Chartered Accountant and has an Executive Development Program Certificate from Stellenbosch Business School

NOMPUMELELO SIHLANGU CA (SA) | Assistant Financial Manager

Nompumelelo joined WIPCAPITAL as assistant financial manager in January 2011. Nompumelelo has recently qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA). Prior to joining WIPCAPITAL she did her articles with KPMG - financial services unit; her main audit client for three (3) consecutive years was Nedbank Group Limited.

ROBERTA LIGHTON | Bookkeeper

Roberta joined WIPCAPITAL in August 2011 as a Bookkeeper. She has worked at different companies including Woolworths in the Finance for over ten (10) years, and she currently studying towards a BCom degree. She is per suing her studies with Damelin and the ICB.

NALEDI KEKANA (B Com) | Executive Assistant To Head Of Business Transformation & Public Affairs

Naledi is a recent graduate from the University of the Witwatersrand and joined WIPHOLD in 2009 and is currently engaged in a WIPHOLD and an Old Mutual Group’s initiative, the Imbizo Project. During and prior to university, Naledi, has volunteered for organisations such as the TAC, the African Renaissance Organisation for Southern Africa and even convened extra Maths and English lessons at Ikaneng Combined school in Diepkloof, Soweto. In 2007, Naledi became a Goldman Sachs Global Leader and represented South Africa at their Leadership Institute in New York. She has also participated in the Young Women’s Knowledge and Leadership Institute in Dakar, Senegal. She has previously sat on the steering committees of the Performing Arts Network of South Africa and also of the Young South African Women in Dialogue.

ERNEST LAMPRECHT (MCSE) | Facilities & IT Manager

Ernest joined WIPCAPITAL in 2007 and has over 15 years experience in IT support and development. Prior to joining WIPHOLD he worked in England for a number of companies including Universal energy and Arsenal football club.

TERRY QUINN-SKELDON | EXECUTIVE PA TO GLORIA TOMATOE SEROBE - FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, WIPHOLD; CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, WIPCAPITAL

Terry has been involved with WIPHOLD since its inception having met 2 of the founders at Standard Merchant Bank.  She returned to WIPHOLD in 2002 after spending 8 years at Transnet working as the Personal Assistant to Gloria Tomatoe Serobe,  Executive Director: Finance and then as the Executive Assistant to Sango Ntsaluba, Executive Director : Restructuring. 

Terry was on middle management level when she left Transnet.

NELLY TLHABOLOA | EXECUTIVE PA - OFFICE OF THE GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Nelly to joined WIPHOLD in April 2007 as an Executive Assistant to the Group CFO, prior to joining WIPHOLD Nelly was a Team Leader at South African Airways - Industry Travel department. She is currently based in the Group CEO’s office, handling various projects including, the WIPHOLD Bursary Fund, School Career Guidance Workshops and planning of the Annual Strategy Session, etc.

ROANNE TOWERS | EXECUTIVE PA TO NONTOBEKO NDHLAZI - GROUP CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Roanne joined WIPHOLD as PA to Louisa Mojela in 1999 shortly after the company listed on the JSE Stock Exchange. A decade later she took a two year sabbatical to assist a friend in setting up a deli business called ELBOWS UP. She returned to WIPHOLD in 2011 to take up the position of PA to the Chief Financial Officer. Roanne has two teenage children, Matthew and Jessica and shares a rambling cottage with two dogs and three cats.

ALICIA JACOBS | PA - INVESTMENT DEPARTMENT

Alicia joined WIPCAPITAL in September 2010 as Personal Assistant to Jannie Stockenström and Debra Marsden. Prior to joining WIPCAPITAL she was an Executive Assistant to four Directors at KPMG.

SALMA PATEL | PA - INVESTMENT DEPARTMENT

Salma joined WIPCAPITAL in 2000, as PA to the Structured Markets Department.  In 2003, she married and moved to Pretoria, where she was employed at the Louis Pastuer Private Hospital as PA to the Hospital Director.  In 2008, she moved back to Johannesburg and re-joined WIPCAPITAL and is currently a PA to Shaun Rosenthal & Gugu Dingaan in the Investment Department.

CHRISTOPHER MATHE | BUYER/FACILITIES & IT ASSISTANT

Chris joined WIPCAPITAL in 1999 where he has been engaged in the Facilities Department.  Chris is the Buyer, and oversees all Assets & Property. He also assists the IT Manager for the WIPHOLD Group.

LEPHIRIMELANG MAPHALA | EXECUTIVE COMPANY COORDINATOR (ECC)

Lephirimelang joined WIPCAPITAL in 2006 as the Executive Company Coordinator, prior to joining WIPCAPITAL, Lephirimelang worked for Nell, Gehle Van Schalkwyk Attorneys doing Court Work for many years. Prior to that she worked for EFK Tucker Attorneys at their Collection Department and later promoted to Receptionist. In 2005 she joined M5 Construction Co. for registration of Government subsidy and allocations for RDP houses in DRD & Braamfisherville in Roodepoort.

Refiloe joined WIPCAPITAL in 2008 as the Executive Company Coordinator. Refiloe is involved in planning & coordinating task & activities in the day-to-day operations of the organization.

MANTOMBI MARUGA | TEMP EXECUTIVE COMPANY COORDINATOR (ECC)

Mantombi joined WIPHOLD in August 2011 as the Executive Company Coordinator, she will be on a 6-months assignment August - March 2012 (standing in for Refiloe Mollo who is on Maternity Leave.

Joseph joined WIPHOLD in 2008 as a Personal Chauffer to Ms Louisa Mojela, prior to joining WIPHOLD Joseph worked for Imperial Car Rental (Europ Car) as a Chauffer.

BONES MATLALA | PERSONAL CHAUFFER TO GLORIA T SEROBE: CEO - WIPCAPITAL

Bones joined WIPCAPITAL in 2008 as a Personal Chauffer to Ms Gloria Serobe, prior to joining WIPCAPITAL Bones worked for Imperial Car Rental (Europ Car) as a Chauffer.

WINILE BUTHELEZI | OFFICE ASSISTANT

Winile joined WIPCAPITAL in 1999 as an Office Assistant, prior to joining WIPCAPITAL Winile worked as a Nursing Assistant at St. George’s Home in Bedfordview. Winile assists with filing in the Investment Department.

HILDA MOTHATA | OFFICE ASSISTANT

Hilda joined WIPCAPITAL in 2000 as an Office Assistant, she specialises with Décor for all WIPHOLD special events.  Hilda assists with filing in the office of the Group CEO, as well as reconciling branding material for the CSI’s.

Mildred joined WIPHOLD in 2011 as an Office Assistant, prior to joining WIPHOLD she worked for Neledzi Cleaning Services as a Cleaner from 2007 – 2010.

Zanele joined WIPHOLD in 2011 as an Office Assistant, prior to joining WIPHOLD Zanele worked for Neledzi as a Cleaner, prior to that she worked as a Grade R Educator at Thuso E Molemo.
