After a few years of deliberations and numerous delays, Imbizo Acornhoek has finally happened with all companies seemingly very optimistic and enthusiastic about making a difference in this community.
The imbizo was held on 10 March at the Nazeren Revival Church in Acornhoek. The imbizo was attended by about 2000 people from Acornhoek and surrounding areas. There was a top delegation from the 4 companies including the chairman of Nedbank, Reuel Khoza. The Department of Health, Home Affairs and the Social Services Association were also present on the day to provide delegates with services.
The event was a great success and since the imbizo, the Greenshop has been dealing with all sorts of enquiries from people who attended the imbizo.
