VLAKFONTEIN SCHOOL CAREER WORKSHOP
The 1st School Career Workshop for 2011 was held on 29 January at Vlakfontein High in Mamelodi, (Pretoria). The workshop was well attended by the learners from the school and there were 2 buses of learners from other schools who also attended. We were joined by WIPHOLD’s Brand Ambassador - Caster Semenya, who motivated the learners and focused on key principles of Respect, Discipline, and Ability to listen and Focus. Her background enthused the learners about not giving up and always believing in oneself. Campaign for Girls also presented and motivated the learners about participating in communities. The investee companies that participated were Nedbank, Mutual and Federal, Quest and Megalomedia. The non-investee companies were SAA, ATNS, SAICA, Umlambo Foundation, Sakhumzi, SAADP, AWCA, Campaign for Girls, SAWIA, SA Express, Spirit Sundae and other individuals.
