Nontobeko Ndhlazi
Group Chief Financial Officer
Nontobeko joined WIPHOLD in 2011 as the Group CFO. She serves as a non-executive director on the boards of some of WIPHOLD’s investee companies. She also sits on the advisory council of the Stellenbosch University Business School and is also on the board of the Institute of Directors SA. Prior to joining WIPHOLD, she was a Director in the Deloitte Special Services Group, where she also served her articles.
Nontobeko holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Natal (KZN) and has extensive experience in financial management, post investment management, corporate governance and strategic direction.
Gloria Tomatoe Serobe
Founder & Group CEO
Gloria co-founded WIPHOLD in 1994 and joined the group as an executive director in 2001. Gloria holds a Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Transkei and an MBA from Rutgers University, New Jersey USA . Gloria has also been conferred the following honorary doctorates:-
- Doctor of Management Science (Durban University of Technology)
- Doctor of Commerce (Walter Sisulu University)
- Doctor of Philosophy (University of Johannesburg)
- Doctor of Philosophy (Nelson Mandela University)
She enjoys a distinguished reputation in South Africa’s business world and currently serves on the board of Hans Merensky Holdings and is the current board chairperson of Adcorp Holdings, Denel and Mamba Cement Company. She has previously served on numerous other boards including Old Mutual Group, Nedbank, the JSE and Sasfin Holdings and was previously the chairperson of the Independent Ports Regulator and previously also served on the advisory council of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). She was also the Chairman of the Solidarity Fund, a fund that was set up in 2020 for the South African government, businesses and civil society to pool resources and unite the country in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gloria’s dedication to women empowerment and her contributions to reshaping South Africa’s economic landscape has resulted in her receiving numerous awards; most notably the 2005 Top Women in Business: Business Woman of the Year Award, the 2006 AWCA Woman of Substance Award, the 2018 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2022 Sunday Times Top 100 Companies Lifetime Achiever Award.
Gloria was installed as the Chancellor of Tshwane University of Technology in March 2024.
Louisa Mojela
Founder & Group Executive Chairman
Louisa co-founded WIPHOLD in 1994 and has been at its helm throughout the last 30 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the National University of Lesotho, and successfully completed an Executive Leadership Programme at Wharton Business School in Pennsylvania, US and a Management & Leadership Programme at Insead, France. Louisa also has two Honorary Doctorates of Commerce from the University of Stellenbosch and the National University of Lesotho respectively.
She is a well-known figure in corporate South Africa and has served on the boards of companies such as Distell, Sun International, Sasol Mining and Life Healthcare Group Holdings amongst many others.
She has received numerous awards for her business leadership and entrepreneurial spirit; most notably the inaugural 2009 African Business Leadership Award in Dakar, Senegal (initiated by the African Development Bank); the 2010 Africa Economic Builders Entrepreneur of the Year award in Abidjan, Ivory Coast; the 2016 All Africa Business Leaders Award from CNBC Africa and the 2023 Forbes Woman Africa Lifetime Achievement Award.
Jannie Stockenstrӧm
Chief Investment Officer
Jannie is responsible for WIPHOLD’s investment portfolio and investment activities. He joined the WIPHOLD Group in 1999 as co-founder of WIPHOLD’s first operational business, Wipcapital. Prior to joining WIPHOLD he was a Director at Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank in charge of global Structured Finance. Before that, he was Assistant General Manager at Standard Bank London, heading up the Standard Bank Group’s cross-border structured finance team.
Jannie is a qualified CA (SA) and also holds a Higher Diploma in Tax Law and an MCom in Financial Management.
Gugu Dingaan
Investment Executive
Gugu joined WIPHOLD in 2001 after serving her articles at PWC. She is responsible for a portfolio of investee companies, including serving as a non-executive director on the boards of those companies. She is a qualified CA(SA) with over 20 years of corporate finance and investments experience. She also completed the Stellenbosch Business School Executive Development Programme as well as the Insead Advanced Management Programme.
Shaun Rosenthal
Investment Executive
Shaun joined the WIPHOLD Group in 1999 as co-founder of WIPHOLD’s first operational business, Wipcapital. He is responsible for various investee companies including serving as a non-executive director on the boards of those companies. He is a qualified CA (SA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst with extensive experience in corporate finance and investments.
Nambitha Tabane
Group Financial Manager
Nambitha is a qualified CA (SA) with a strong background in financial management, valuations and audit. After completing her articles at Deloitte, she became an Audit Manager in their financial services division. She subsequently became Group Management Accountant at Hans Merensky Holdings before moving to her current position at WIPHOLD.
Luphiwe Memani
Investment Analyst
Luphiwe joined Wiphold in 2016 and she is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities, assisting with investment execution and portfolio management. She serves as a non-executive director on some of WIPHOLD’s investee companies.
Luphiwe is a qualified CA(SA) and worked as an Assistant Manager at Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Services prior to joining WIPHOLD.
Kekeletso Motsukunyane
Financial Manager
Kekeletso joined WIPHOLD in 2016 after completing her articles at Sizwe Ntsaluba Gobodo. She is a qualified (CA)SA with certifications in company analysis and valuations, corporate finance, financial modelling and board leadership. Kekeletso is a member of African Women Chartered Accountants (AWCA) and Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA).
Christoph Kuhn
Non-Executive Director
Christoph Kuhn is a non-executive director of WIPHOLD and is the current Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee and Valuation Committee of WIPHOLD. He has a total of 29 years experience in Investment Banking and was previously the Head of Corporate Finance at Old Mutual and BoE Merchant Bank. He was also a part of the Corporate Finance team at Anglo American. Prior to becoming a CA(SA), he worked at Standard Bank in a number of roles (including in their Corporate Banking division). He is a chartered accountant by trade and has extensive experience in leading mergers and acquisitions, disposals and black economic empowerment deals.

Gugu has been with WIPHOLD for eight years, primarily as a Mining Women Investment Trust trustee and, more recently, as a non-executive director. She is an alumni of the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is a qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in forensic accounting and project management.
